As some of you already know, Brian and I have been working at Canyonville Christian Academy in the cafeteria kitchen for the past six weeks. That job has been keeping us real busy. Though I am happy to say that this is our last week there (whew!). No new updates to post as yet since I have not heard from the people who are running farmer's market. I'll be sure to let you know as I get the information.
Still planning on being at Music on the Half Shell and looking forward to it. Season begins Tuesday June 23 and runs every Tuesday except August 4, with the final program on August 11. Keep posted for times.
Well, yesterday was a very busy day preparing food for the kid's annual luau party at the school. I was slicing sushi and accidently sliced off a good-sized chunk of my finger. OUCH! I managed the pain, I managed the bleeding, but THIS I cannot handle! Today I went to replace the bandage and now a layer of gauze is stuck on the wound. The last time this happened was when I hurt my toe in a bicycle accident some 30 years ago and my grandma ripped off my toenail right along with the gauze. I don't want to remember that pain. SO, if anyone has any recent experience with removing stuck gauze from already painful wounds without inflicting any more pain, PLEASE email me! Thank you in advance.
Other than that, no other news to report. Just wanted to let you know that we're still around.... Aloha! The Maui Vegetarian
